The Book Kitchen is located in The Republic of Letters Bookstore at 151 High Street in the Historic District of Mineral Point, Wisconsin.

No. We do not provide lodging. However, you can view the Mineral Point Chamber of Commerce website to find local lodging options and more!

Classes

Yes!  We encourage you to share your culinary experiences with your family and friends.

We do our best to accommodate dietary restrictions for events, but our kitchen is not food allergen-free or gluten-free. Please be aware that our food may contain or come into contact with common allergens such as milk, egg, fish/shellfish, tree nuts, wheat, peanuts, soybeans, and sesame. Please see our full allergen policy here.

Full refund or class credit will be given if the cancellation is made more than 7 days prior to the class. No refund will be given when a cancellation is made less than 7 days prior to the class. However, if your spot is filled by our waitlist, we will issue a class credit to apply towards future classes. You may also transfer your spot to a friend – just give us a call.

Depending on the style of class, they range anywhere from 2 to 6 hours.  Some classes may involve more than one session due to the nature of the recipes.

Yes!  We provide aprons, the tools, ingredients, and equipment for your class.

Most of our classes accommodate food enthusiasts or people with limited experience who are curious to learn more about food.  We do offer some professional cooking and baking classes which do require a bit more experience. These are noted in the class title.

No!  At The Book Kitchen we strive to cultivate a love of cooking, baking, and sharing food experiences with others. Our classes for kids and teens are specifically geared towards teaching basic culinary skills and no prior experience is necessary.

We ask that you respect the recommended ages that are specified for each class as our classes are specifically designed for a particular age group.

It is not necessary to stay with your child unless otherwise specified.  Go have a coffee and relax in one of Mineral Point’s eateries.

  • Rescheduling event 14 or more days prior to scheduled date – Deposit will transfer to your rescheduled date, no additional charges.
  • Rescheduling event within 14 days of scheduled date – Deposit is retained to cover event costs, full balance due at rescheduled date.
  • Canceling event 14 days or more prior to scheduled date – Full refund of deposit.
  • Canceling event within 14 days of scheduled date – Deposit is retained to cover event costs. If canceling within 7 days of event, an additional $200 cancellation fee will apply.
