Welcome to The Book Kitchen’s “Pierogi” by Zuza Zak class, where we discover food from the heart of Poland. Led by the expertise of Zuza Zak’s cookbook, we’ll dive into the diverse flavors of Poland as we explore regional pierogi styles.

From savory meat-filled pierogis to a delightful poppy seed variation, we’ll cover the essence of Polish cuisine. Prepare for an interactive and engaging class as we form an assembly line to craft these delectable dumplings. From rolling out the dough to expertly stuffing and cooking, you’ll gain practical skills in the art of pierogi-making.

Then, we’ll switch gears to the sweeter side as we create a delicious poppy seed version, showcasing the versatility of this iconic staple. Get ready to work together as a class and experience the joy of teamwork as we collectively bring our pierogi creations to life.

After our collective efforts in the kitchen, we’ll gather around the dining table to savor the fruits of our labor and indulge in the delightful flavors of the pierogis we’ve crafted. We’ll also experience the unique taste of a Southern Polish potato “bull” with leek slaw—a perfect complement to our pierogi feast.

Whether you’re a novice or an experienced cook, this class promises an enriching experience for all. We hope you’ll join us!
