Being half Italian and half Polish, I grew up in a house where dough was always on the table—literally. Pierogies were more than just food; they were a tradition and a full-family affair. My mom orchestrated the whole operation turning the kitchen into a bustling assembly line of rollers and stuffers.
At The Book Kitchen, we’re bringing that same spirit to life, inspired by the cookbook, Pierogi, by Zuza Zak. Her beautiful book opened my eyes to so many new flavor combinations and regional styles I never knew as a kid. In this hands-on class, we’ll make two types of pierogies from scratch, learning how to roll, fill, and cook them.
After our efforts, we’ll gather around the dining table to enjoy.
