Join us for our new summer cooking series, “Celebrating the Cultures Within Our Community,” as we explore the vibrant flavors of Brazil with our very own, Iza Harris. As a native of Brazil, Iza has brought her rich heritage to Southern Wisconsin, where she has resided with her husband, Will, and their three children for the past 11 years.
In this exciting event, Iza will demonstrate making traditional pao de queijo, or cheese bread, found in all regions of Brazil. Following the demonstration, we’ll gather around the communal table to savor five dishes inspired by Iza’s homeland, including black beans and pork, Brazilian rice, salsa, and Brigadeiros (chocolate truffles). We’ll fuse the tastes of local Wisconsin ingredients to create Brazilian flavors.
*Please note that there will be a cash beer bar available for all ticketed guests.
