Immerse yourself in a one-day Norwegian baking class. This hands-on experience celebrates the delightful union of sweet and savory flavors inspired by the changing seasons in Norway.

Guided by the expert recipes from the lovely Norwegian Baking cookbook by Nevada Berg, you’ll master the art of crafting delectable Nordic treats. We’ll focus on creating four recipes, starting with yeasted Sun Buns, then moving on to the savory side of Norwegian baking with the preparation of Caraway and Jarlsberg crackers. Discover the perfect blend of caraway seeds and rich Jarlsberg cheese in these crispy, flavorful bites that make for an excellent appetizer.

For the main course, we’ll delve into making Potato Flatbreads topped with roasted tomatoes and caramelized onions. Finally, we’ll conclude the hands-on portion of the class on a sweet note with an apple cake accompanied by a salted Gin Caramel Sauce. Throughout the class, you’ll receive hands-on guidance, ensuring that you not only learn the techniques but also gain a deeper understanding of the cultural and culinary significance behind each recipe.
